i do that often, stare blankly into space time continuum and let myself be an island, aloof and away from the maddening crowds... if you can pull it off, it is a great stress buster...
i meant it as in even though you are physically in a crowd, you are mentally detached... you thoughts are at some far away place where they are not to be disturbed by anyone...
